Wilson Firearms offers firearm transfer services to Wilson and the surrounding areas.

Did you find that perfect firearm online? Want to buy a gun from your next-door neighbor? Protect yourself and legally have that firearm transferred at Wilson Firearms.

1.   You purchased a gun from an out-of-state dealer and want it shipped to us for final transfer to you. Please call us a 252-293-4867 so we can get the process started. We can email a copy of our FFL to the party shipping the firearm. Please email us with the tracking number otherwise we can't track the package.
2.  You want to purchase a firearm from another private party. To do this legally, your best bet is to come into the store with the seller. The gun is transferred into our inventory and out of the seller’s name. You will fill out the Federal Firearm Purchase Form and present current identification and, if applicable, a permit to purchase. We will verify the background check and upon successful completion, transfer the firearm to the new owner.

Our fee for firearm transfers is $40.00 per gun cash only. WE DO NOT charge a transfer fee when buying a gun from Wilson Firearms

WE DO NOT ACCEPT NFA transfers unless they are coming from Silencer Shop otherwise, there will be an upfront charge of $120.00 cash for paperwork and transfer fees.  

We wanted to ensure you know our background check policy and associated fees.

You will be responsible for any shipping expenses incurred if your background check is denied. Additionally, please note that there is a $40 non-refundable transfer fee. If the firearm is left for two days or more at the store, a $20.00 charge per firearm fee will be added for storage.
